Coaches & Educators

Wandering Aimfully

WAIM is a membership that offers monthly coaching calls, an amazing Slack community, tons of courses, and so much more. This was my first big investment in my business. (This link will only work during their launch periods, but if you’d like to join outside of launch time, send me a message and I’ll send you a link that gets you in anytime!)

Denise Duffield-Thomas

Denise’s work has impacted me in so many ways throughout the years! She teaches about breaking your money beliefs, forgiving yourself for past mistakes, working smarter instead of harder, and so much more. Her Money Bootcamp program is going to be my next big business investment, and hopefully I’ll see you there too!

Leonie Dawson

Leonie Dawson is SUCH an amazing teacher, and offers courses and articles from organizing to marketing, money to manifesting. She also has tons of great free content, like articles, freebies to download, a newsletter that I love, and a podcast. She even has a course for writers called 40 Days to a Finished Book, which is available at the link below.

Elizabeth Goddard

Elizabeth offers a ton of courses on her site, but my favorites focus on marketing! She has so many to choose from, and I have no doubt that you’ll find one that’s just what you need.

Being Boss

In addition to Being Boss’s podcast and book, they also have a great community with both FREE and paid options, where you can find other entrepreneurs and creatives! Check out their newsletter too!

Software & Apps

Notion

When I say that I use Notion to run my entire life, I’m not exaggerating. Notion helps me run my business, my finances, and my life. If you’ve struggled to find the right productivity app, try this today!

Reedsy

Reedsy is a marketplace for authors, where you can find editors (like me!), designers, formatters, and more. If you’re a freelancer, you can sign up to be on the marketplace below as well!

PerfectIt

This software is a game changer for writers and editors everywhere. It doesn’t replace getting extra eyes on your manuscript, but it’s a great starting point for consistency, spelling, and grammar.

Flodesk

I’ve used a handful of email systems throughout the years, and Flodesk has been the absolute best. It’s so easy to use, feels clean and modern, and is so much more affordable than its competitors.

Squarespace

I’ve designed my fair share of websites over the years and I hated it until I found Squarespace. Squarespace utilizes a super easy drag-and-drop system that anyone can use! Highly recommended!

Fun Stuff

The Write Life Etsy Shop

Have you noticed how hard it can be to find a good gift for a writer? Yeah, me too. From stickers and mugs to prints and pins, there’s something for every writer you know—and probably you too!

Imperfect Produce

This might not be a business expense, but I love ordering fun and different food from Imperfect Foods each week. If they’re not available in your area, check out Misfits Market!

BookS

Get Rich, Lucky Bitch by Denise Duffield Thomas

This book really challenged me to break my money blocks, rewrite my past, and forgive myself for mistakes that I’d made. I highly recommend all of Denise’s books, but this is my favorite, by far!

We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers

This book is a game changer for women and BIPOC business owners. The lessons she has to teach about money are so, so good!

Chill and Prosper by Denise Duffield Thomas

Denise’s Chillpreneur was one of the first business books I read when I began editing full-time, and it’s now been released as Chill and Prosper. She has so many great tips and tactics here!

Podcasts

What is it All For?

Hosted by Jason and Caroline of WAIM (see above!), you’ll hear about business, travel, and mindset. Definitely my fave podcast!

Chill & Prosper

Denise’s podcast is the cherry on top of all the other amazing knowledge she provides. Chock full of important lessons.

Rich Coach Club

Not exclusively for coaches! Susan teaches about business, mindset, confidence, money, and so much more.

The Most

Susan Hyatt, Rachel Rodgers, and Robert Hartwell make a formidable trio, chatting about business, friendships, and more.

We Can Do Hard Things

I can’t get enough of Glennon, Abby, and Amanda! This show deep dives into hard conversations, and I always love it.

RedHanded

This wouldn’t be a list of my favorite podcasts without a true crime show! I’m a sucker for a well-told story!
